The blend is one of the 5 branded blends from Cooperativa Cafetalera Siguatepeque Limitada (COHORSIL). The name is inspired by Cerro Azul Meambar National Park. The park is beloved for its cloud forests, a unique kind of rainforest that is consistently covered in thick mists and clouds. The park is about 50 kilometers north of Siguatepeque, the city where COHORSIL has established its base of operations. Its fragrance and aroma remind us of the tastiest tropical fruits, with a sharp and citric acidity, a round and velvety body, with a balanced flavor particular to this coffee, with a persistent aftertaste.
It is an elegant and voluptuous coffee, grown in the heights of the lush mountains located in the Comayagua and Montecillos mountain ranges, in which the coffee plantations in association with the various species of native plants that provide protective shade, make up a forest. ideal, in which plants and animals find their habitat.
Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) specifies the altitude at which the coffee was grown. A coffee must be grown at 1,200 meters above sea level or higher to be considered SHB. The higher altitude and lower temperatures mean that the coffee fruit matures more slowly, creating a denser bean. EP stands for European Preparation.
